The Santa Anita Week event is set to return for the 6th races running from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 18, celebrating TCK’s friendship with Santa Anita Park in the United States.
Celebrating 30 years of partnership, this year’s event will feature the American Food Event, highlighting a variety of delicious American food. Visitors are also invited to enjoy mint julep made with Kirin Brewery’s Four Roses, and explore our annual American Market, where they can buy American horse racing merchandise and US-branded products offered in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Experience the vibrant American atmosphere throughout the five-day event showcasing TCK’s partnership programs with Santa Anita as well as an exclusive Harley-Davidson display and festive decorations celebrating Santa Anita Week.
In addition, on the day of the Santa Anita Trophy (SIII) on Wednesday, July 16, popular JRA jockeys will appear on stage for a talk show, along with many other special events, such as the Santa Anita Grand Lottery, where visitors have a chance to win American horse racing items and memorabilia autographed by speakers on stage. [About our Friendship Exchange With the Santa Anita Park Racetrack]
Tokyo City Keiba (TCK) signed a Friendship Exchange Agreement in 1995 with the Santa Anita Park Racetrack on the West Coast of the United States. Since then, every year, TCK hosts the Santa Anita Trophy (SIII), while Santa Anita Park holds the Tokyo City Cup (G3) as our exchange of races. Our collaborations have also included jockey and trainer exchanges and notable achievements such as the 2023 US tour of Mandarin Hero.
TCK will continue to deepen its friendship with Santa Anita Park Racetrack and convey the appeal of TCK and horse racing to the people of Japan and the United States.
